“ I am reviewing the restaurant associated with this winery. It serves Japanese food. This winery is beautiful from the moment you park and walk up to the building . The outside eating area is also extremely picturesque. Five stars for Atmosphere and Service. Such pleasant waitstaff, yet the food was just so so. This place does get excellent reviews . Perhaps the day we went for lunch , the kitchen team wasn’t “showing the love”. ”
“ Our Absolute Favourite in the South West Fish Bone Winery and Japanese Restaurant never fails to impress. The food is always exceptional! Fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. Every dish feels crafted with care, from the finest local produce to the perfect balance of textures and taste. The wines are just as outstanding, pairing effortlessly with the menu and showcasing the best of Margaret River’s quality. This is our go to spot whenever we’re in the South West, and it never disappoints. Consistently outstanding food, wine, and service ”
“ We had lunch this afternoon and the food was good! Delish is the word! Generous portions and it is recommended that you share it. We paired our food with sake and needless to say, it was good. Service was good too. We had beef tataki, salmon rolls, spider rolls and chicken teriyaki rolls and egg plant salad. Compliments to the chef! ”
“ Great food!! We did the wine tasting first. Lovely wines. Food was amazing came out very quick. Double salmon was delicious! Service was great. ”
“ Very sumptuous Japanese fusion dishes. We had the beef tataki, gyoza, sakana curry (pan fried fish fillet in Japanese curry sauce) and the double salmon sushi roll. Top it up with affogato and chocolate brownie for dessert. We also had a bottle of Fishbone Blue Label Chardonnay. Overall, a good place for slow and relaxing lunch. We were seated at the outdoor area, weather was a bit cold but they provide the mobile heating post to make it more comfortable. ”
“ We went to Fishbone winery for my birthday lunch this week (June). Fabulous wine tasting pre lunch ($10 charge though which is newish) It used to be free. Food was wonderful as usual. We ordered the rainbow sushi roll and the double salmon sushi roll as well as one vegetarian roll. The double salmon and the vegetarian were more tasty than the rainbow roll by quite a lot. It just didn’t wow us. We also ordered the Miso Dengaku salad. This was cracking and delicious but half the size that it was four yrs ago when we went. This was disappointing as it was still 30 odd dollars. I think it’s too expensive for its size as it’s only vegetables, no seafood or meat. I don’t think it warrants being that price. But I would still order it again as the flavours are so good. We also ordered the spicy edamame beans to start with. These come warm which is nice in winter. They are so tasty and the spice level doesn’t blow your head off but it’s a good hit. They have excellent vegetarian and vegan options on their menu that actually taste amazing. You don’t feel as though you’re missing out line in some restaurants. The wine was excellent, dessert great too with tasty gluten free and dairy free options that actually tasted really good. Laura our waitress was so attentive and helpful. Francesco on wine tasting was wonderful too. We love this winery amd will always visit when in Margaret river. ”
“ Easy 5 stars with this place. Beautiful food, friendly service. The food is high quality and there is a good attention to detail. The portion sizes are enough to leave you satisfied or full. Will absolutely come back. The double salmon roll is worth ordering and the sashimi is super fresh. Seaweed salad is perfect to eat between bites. The macarons are also delicious and the miso caramel one is a 10/10 ”
“ I had already eaten, so I only did the wine tasting — but the server was incredibly friendly, and I was impressed by how reasonably priced and well-prepared the tasting was. ”
